Yesterday was generally not a very exciting day in the stock market. Markets appear to be waiting for the following fundamental drivers. For the US, that is of course the inflation rate for this afternoon.The S&P lost 0.18% and closed at 4,219 points. The Nasdaq 100 technology index rose 0.03%, trading at 13,814 points during the closing bell. Best share in the index was Biomarin, up more than 4%. The Dow Jones lost 0.44%, eventually closing at 34,446 points. The strongest share of the Dow was Merck & Co, up 2.27%.

Berenberg turned bullish on Telefonica S.A. (TEF), upgrading the stock to "Buy" from Hold.

NetApp Inc. (NTAP) has won the favor of William Blair's equity research team. The firm upgraded the shares from Market Perform to Outperform.

ServiceNow Inc. (NOW) received an upgrade from analysts at Goldman Sachs, who also set their one-year price target on the stock to $695.00. They changed their rating on NOW to Buy.

Earlier Thursday Atlantic Equities reduced its rating on CME Group Inc. (CME) stock to Neutral from Overweight and assigned the price target to $235.

RBC Capital analysts reduced their investment ratings, saying in research reports covered by the media that its rating for Universal Health Services Inc. (UHS) has been changed to Sector Perform from Outperform and the new price target is set at $165.00.

Analysts at RBC Capital downgraded Anthem Inc. (ANTM)'s stock to Sector Perform from Outperform Thursday.

Analysts expect Dave & Buster's Entertainment Inc. (NASDAQ:PLAY) to report a net income (adjusted) of -$0.16 per share, when the company releases its quarterly results shortly. Revenue for the fiscal quarter ended Apr 2021 is predicted to come in at $257.98M.

SeaChange International Inc. (SEAC), due to announce earnings after the market closes today, is expected to report earnings of -$0.09 per share from revenues of $4.92M recently concluded three-month period.
