The trading session on May 11, the main US stock indexes ended in the red zone. The S&P 500 fell 1.65% to 3935, the Nasdaq shed 3.18% and the Dow Jones corrected 1.02%. The energy sector (+1.34%) and utility providers (+0.72%) outperformed the market. Among the outsiders were manufacturers of discretionary goods (-3.58%) and the IT sector (-3.16%).Company news

  • Quarterly results of Electronic Arts Inc. (EA: +7.97%) came in slightly below consensus, but management provided positive guidance for the current fiscal year. The company announced the end of a long-term partnership with FIFA and the rebranding of its own football simulator.

  • Walt Disney (DIS: -2.29%) fell short of revenue and earnings expectations, although both of the issuer's key businesses (media services and theme parks) posted strong operating profit growth and new Disney+ streaming subscribers beat analysts' forecasts.

  • Toyota Motor (TM: -5.64%) posted a better-than-expected first-quarter report. However, despite strong annual sales, management expects a 20% decline in operating profit this year due to higher logistics and raw material costs.

Coupang Inc. (CPNG) stock soared 16.55% to $11.27 in the pre-market trading after reporting a Q1 gross profit increase of 42% yoy and a record revenue of $5.1B.

Lordstown Motors Corp. (NASDAQ: RIDE) shares are trading up 16.56% at $1.76 at the time of writing following an announcement from the company that it has closed the sale of its Lordstown facility and signed a contract manufacturing agreement and joint venture agreement for product development with affiliates of Hon Hai Technology Group.

Salarius Pharmaceuticals Inc. (SLRX) grew over 54.06% at $0.2465 in pre-market trading today. The company declared the successful completion of its pre-IND meeting process with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration for SP-3164. SP-3164 is a next-generation targeted protein degrader that induces selective elimination of cancer-causing proteins.

STMicroelectronics N.V. (STM), a Semiconductors company, rose about 4.19% at $36.53 in pre-market trading Thursday. STM has revealed details of its collaboration with Microsoft, an ST Authorized partner, to strengthen the security of emerging Internet-of-Things (IoT) applications.

Top Upgrades & Downgrades

Wells Fargo turned bullish on Albemarle Corporation (ALB), upgrading the stock to Overweight and assigning a $285.00 price target, representing potential upside of 33.78% from Wednesday's close.

ON Semiconductor Corporation (ON) has won the favor of Wells Fargo's equity research team. The firm upgraded the shares from Equal-Weight to Overweight and moved their price target to $65.00, suggesting 25.56% additional upside for the stock.

Grocery Outlet Holding Corp. (GO) received an upgrade from analysts at R5 Capital. They changed their rating on GO to Hold from Sell in a recently issued research note.

Earlier Thursday Wells Fargo reduced its rating on Air Products and Chemicals Inc. (APD) stock to Equal-Weight from Overweight and assigned the price target to $255.00.

Wells Fargo analysts reduced their investment ratings, saying in research reports covered by the media that its rating for Ford Motor Company (F) has been changed to Underweight from Overweight and the new price target is set at $12.00.

Analysts at Wells Fargo downgraded General Motors Company (GM)'s stock to Underweight from Overweight Tuesday.
