The correction again appears to have been short-lived, as the recovery continued strongly yesterday. The S&P 500 rose 0.82% to 4,358 points and the Nasdaq closed the day with a 0.92% gain at 14,632 points. The US 10-year Treasury bond hit a low of 1.17% on Monday but also recovered to 1.29%. This indicates that investor fear has quickly faded into the background.In addition to economic developments and inflation, the focus of investors is on quarterly figures. Currently, 15% of S&P 500 companies have announced their results, with 88% of companies exceeding earnings expectations. During the afternoon, AT&T, DR Horton, Southwest Air, and American Airlines, among others, will open the books. After trading, names such as Intel, Twitter, Snap, and Capital One are on the agenda.Wall Street also processes the latest jobless claims figures. Economists expect the number of first-time jobless claims to reach 350,000, down from last week when the figure stood at 360,000.

Clover Health Investments Corp. (NASDAQ: CLOV) shares are trading up 9.68% at $9.74 at the time of writing after announcing that it will report second-quarter 2021 financial results on August 11, 2021.

Talos Energy Inc. (TALO) grew over 23.97% at $14.43 in pre-market trading today.

Resources Connection Inc. (RGP), a Consulting Services company, rose about 9.88% at $15.12 in pre-market trading Thursday. The company recently announced financial results for its fiscal fourth quarter and year ended May 29, 2021. Revenue up 10.0% sequentially to $172.3 million compared to $156.6 million in the third quarter.

STMicroelectronics N.V. (STM) received an upgrade from analysts at Goldman Sachs. They changed their rating on STM to Neutral from Sell in a recently issued research note.
