4 Breakout Stocks to Start Your Day
Good Morning!
The S&P 500 moved just 17 points yesterday. Ultimately, the broad stock index closed at minus 0.02%. The closing price was 4,187 points. The Nasdaq 100 technology index fell 0.47% to 13,960 points. Moderna was again the strongest stock in the index, up 3.39%. The Dow rate remained unchanged at 33,985 points. The strongest share of the Dow Jones Industrial Average was Chevron, up 1.16%. Alphabet positively surprisedAlphabet has had a monopoly when it comes to internet searches for years. The vast majority of them do their searches through the search engine Google. Alphabet has of course had a windfall, as many companies worldwide switched to online sales due to the pandemic. Companies are switching from traditional marketing to digital marketing, in which advertisements are indispensable. But now that the economy is slowly returning to the old normal, it makes sense to see a decline in the demand for digital ads. What was so good about Alphabet's results?The company behind Google came up with surprising results. Sales in the first quarter of this year increased by 34% compared to the same period last year. Ultimately, sales came in at $ 55.31 billion, with projected sales at $ 51.70 billion. Earnings per share came in at $ 26.29, while the consensus expected was $ 15.82. Wall Street was also enthusiastic about the share buyback. Alphabet has approved a $ 50 billion buy-back program. Alphabet stock rose 4.24% to $ 2,388 after the market.

RiceBran Technologies (NASDAQ: RIBT) shares are trading up 14.41% at $1.35 at the time of writing. The company will host a conference call today to discuss its financial results for the first quarter ended March 31, 2021.

JP Morgan turned bullish on ABB Ltd (ABB), upgrading the stock to "Neutral" from Underweight.
GSX Techedu Inc. (GSX) has won the favor of Goldman Sachs's equity research team. The firm upgraded the shares from Sell to Buy.
ViacomCBS Inc. (VIAC) received an upgrade from analysts at Citigroup, who also set their one-year price target on the stock to $56.0. They changed their rating on VIAC to Buy from Neutral in a recently issued research note.
Earlier Wednesday BofA reduced its rating on Helix Energy Solutions Group Inc. (HLX) stock to Neutral from Buy and assigned the price target to $5.
BMO Capital analysts reduced their investment ratings, saying in research reports covered by the media that its rating for PotlatchDeltic Corporation (PCH) has been changed to Market Perform from Outperform and the new price target is set at $61.0.
Analysts at Summit Insights downgraded Advanced Micro Devices Inc. (AMD)'s stock to Hold from Buy Wednesday.

Top US earnings releases scheduled for today include Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL). It will announce its Mar 2021 financial results. The company is expected to report earnings of $0.99 per share from revenues of $77.35B in the three-month period.
Analysts expect Ford Motor Company (NYSE:F) to report a net income (adjusted) of $0.21 per share, when the company releases its quarterly results shortly. Revenue for the fiscal quarter ended Mar 2021 is predicted to come in at $32.23B.
Facebook Inc. (FB), due to announce earnings after the market closes today, is expected to report earnings of $2.37 per share from revenues of $23.67B recently concluded three-month period.
