The session on May 2, the main US stock markets ended in the green zone. The S&P 500 rose 0.57% to 4155 points, the Dow Jones added 0.26%, the Nasdaq rose 1.63%. The sectors of consumer goods (-1.29%) and real estate (-2.55%) looked worse than the market. Growth leaders were technology (+1.56%) and telecommunications (+2.43%) companies.Company news

  • Occupancy at MGM Resorts International (MGM: +2.27%) on the Las Vegas Strip increased from 46% last year to 78% in the first quarter.

AST SpaceMobile Inc. (NASDAQ: ASTS) shares are trading up 11.68% at $8.89 at the time of writing after announcing that it has received an experimental license from the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) supporting its U.S.-based testing of the BlueWalker 3 satellite.

MGM Resorts International (MGM) grew over 1.26% at $42.5 in pre-market trading today. The company reported consolidated net revenues of $2.9 billion compared to $1.6 billion in the prior year quarter, an increase of 73%.

Avis Budget Group Inc. (CAR), a Rental & Leasing Services company, rose about 6.75% at $299.5 in pre-market trading Tuesday. Avis Budget Group ended the first quarter 2022 with revenues 77% above the first quarter 2021, at $2.4 billion.

Top Upgrades & Downgrades

JP Morgan turned bullish on Mohawk Industries Inc. (MHK), upgrading the stock to "Neutral" and assigning a $156.00 price target, representing potential upside of 6.94% from Monday's close.

Agile Therapeutics Inc. (AGRX) has won the favor of Morgan Stanley's equity research team. The firm upgraded the shares from Equal Weight to Overweight and moved their price target to $375.00, suggesting 27.83% additional upside for the stock.

IDACORP Inc. (IDA) received an upgrade from analysts at Wells Fargo, who also set their one-year price target on the stock to $110.00. They changed their rating on IDA to Equal Weight from Underweight in a recently issued research note.

Earlier Tuesday Piper Sandler reduced its rating on Kellogg Company (K) stock to Underweight from Neutral and assigned the price target to $62.00.

Piper Sandler analysts reduced their investment ratings, saying in research reports covered by the media that its rating for Tyson Foods Inc. (TSN) has been changed to Underweight from Neutral and the new price target is set at $81.00.

Analysts at Wells Fargo downgraded Consolidated Edison Inc. (ED)'s stock to Underweight from Equal Weight Tuesday.

Analysts expect Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Limited (NYSE: TEVA) to report a net income (adjusted) of $0.55 per share, when the company releases its quarterly results shortly. Revenue for the fiscal quarter ended Mar 2022 is predicted to come in at $3.75B.

Paramount Global (PARA), due to announce earnings before the market opens today, is expected to report earnings of $0.51 per share from revenues of $7.38B recently concluded three-month period.
