Yesterday we saw a recovery on Wall Street as the VIX index falls back to the stable zone of 21.5 points. The S&P 500 closed 0.47% higher at 4,500 points. After a brief dip during the opening of the US stock market, the broad stock index started to recover, fueled by Thermo Fisher Scientific (+4.22%) PerkinElmer (+3.79%) and Zoetis (+3.42%) among others.The Nasdaq 100 followed the same path , closing 0.22% higher at 14,530 points. Chinese technology stocks in the index were once again among the biggest losers. Baidu and Pinduoduo closed 3.08 and 6.45% lower, respectively.The Dow closed 90 points higher, representing a daily result of plus 0.26%.It was Visa and Mastercard that were among the biggest losers. In the corridors of the imaginary Wall Street, it is rumored that major banks want to use Zelle, a digital payment network, to compete with Visa and Mastercard.

CrowdStrike Holdings Inc. (CRWD) stock soared 3.77% to $225.21 in the pre-market trading after announcing that it has been granted a Provisional Authorization to Operate (P-ATO) at Impact Level 4 (IL-4).

Paysafe Limited (NYSE: PSFE) shares are trading up 9.7% at $3.28 at the time of writing following the declaration from the company that it has expanded its partnership with betPARX®. The company also announced the appointment of Bruce Lowthers as the new CEO.

Aterian Inc. (ATER) grew over 18.18% at $4.55 in pre-market trading today after reporting that it has been recognized in the third annual Financial Times ranking of The Americas Fastest Growing Companies.

WD-40 Company (WDFC), a Specialty Chemicals company, rose about 7.21% at $187.1 in pre-market trading Friday. The firm recently reported that total net sales for the Q2 were $130.0 million, an increase of 16% compared to the prior year's fiscal quarter.

Top Upgrades & Downgrades

RBC Capital turned bullish on Gatos Silver Inc. (GATO), upgrading the stock to Sector perform and assigning a $4.00 price target.

AppFolio Inc. (APPF) has won the favor of Keybanc's equity research team. The firm upgraded the shares from Sector Weight to Overweight and moved their price target to $143.00, suggesting 28.82% additional upside for the stock.

Telefonaktiebolaget LM Ericsson (ERIC) received an upgrade from analysts at Grupo Santander, who also set their one-year price target on the stock to $11.20. They changed their rating on ERIC to Outperform from Underperform in a recently issued research note.

Earlier Friday Piper Sandler reduced its rating on Shoals Technologies Group Inc. (SHLS) stock to Neutral from Overweight and assigned the price target to $16.00.

Piper Sandler analysts reduced their investment ratings, saying in research reports covered by the media that its rating for FTC Solar Inc. (FTCI) has been changed to Neutral from Overweight and the new price target is set at $4.00.

Analysts at Credit Suisse downgraded Alcoa Corporation (AA)'s stock to Neutral from Outperform Friday.

Analysts expect OrganiGram Holdings Inc. (NASDAQ:OGI) to report a net income of -$0.02 per share when the company releases its quarterly results on Tuesday. Revenue for the fiscal quarter ended Feb 2022 is predicted to come in at $25.79M.

CarMax Inc. (KMX), due to announce earnings before the market opens Tuesday, is expected to report earnings of $1.27 per share from revenues of $7.54B recently concluded three-month period.
