However, the central bank hinted that two more rate hikes could be on the horizon later this year, keeping investors on their toes.The Dow Jones Industrial Average futures slipped 37 points, signaling a cautious start. Meanwhile, the S&P 500 and Nasdaq-100 futures also pulled back, showing a slight retreat of 0.3% and 0.5%, respectively.Market watchers will have their eyes on several corporate earnings announcements. Kroger, Jabil, and John Wiley are set to unveil their earnings reports in the morning, while Adobe's results will be revealed after the closing bell.In Wednesday's trading session, both the S&P 500 and the Nasdaq Composite reached their highest levels since April 2022, reflecting the market's positive sentiment. The S&P 500 closed slightly higher by 0.08%, extending its winning streak to five consecutive sessions, marking the longest stretch of gains since November 2021. The Nasdaq climbed 0.39%, showcasing its tech-driven resilience, while the Dow experienced a modest decline of 0.68%.As investors continue to navigate market movements and corporate earnings, the focus remains on how the Federal Reserve's future decisions will shape the trajectory of the stock market in the coming months.

TD Cowen turned bullish on Kohl's Corporation (KSS), upgrading the stock to Outperform and assigning a $30 price target, representing potential upside of 9.93% from Wednesday's close.

Corning Incorporated (GLW) has won the favor of Citigroup's equity research team. The firm upgraded the shares from Neutral to Buy and moved their price target to $40, suggesting 20.34% additional upside for the stock.

Emerson Electric Co. (EMR) received an upgrade from analysts at HSBC, who also set their one-year price target on the stock to $100. They changed their rating on EMR to Buy from Hold in a recently issued research note.

Earlier Thursday Barclays reduced its rating on Bright Health Group Inc. (BHG) stock to Underweight from Overweight and assigned the price target to $8.

Deutsche Bank analysts reduced their investment ratings, saying in research reports covered by the media that its rating for Gol Linhas Aereas Inteligentes S.A. (GOL) has been changed to Hold from Buy and the new price target is set at $5.

Analysts at Piper Sandler downgraded Redwood Trust Inc. (RWT)'s stock to Neutral from Overweight Thursday.

Top US earnings releases scheduled for today include The Kroger Co. (NYSE: KR). It will announce its Apr 2023 financial results. The company is expected to report earnings of $1.46 per share from revenues of $45.24B in the three-month period.

Analysts expect Jabil Inc. (NYSE: JBL) to report a net income (adjusted) of $1.87 per share, when the company releases its quarterly results shortly. Revenue for the fiscal quarter ended May 2023 is predicted to come in at $8.2B.

Adobe Inc. (ADBE), due to announce earnings after the market closes today, is expected to report earnings of $3.79 per share from revenues of $4.43B recently concluded three-month period.
