On Tuesday, there was a modest uptick in stock prices following the S&P 500's fifth consecutive decline, marking its lengthiest losing streak in 2023. These losses coincided with the 10-year Treasury yield briefly surpassing 5% on Monday, a milestone not seen in 16 years.

As of 11:59 AM ET, the Dow was up 208.1016 points, or 0.6318%, at $33144.51. The Nasdaq Composite added 108.3311 points, or 0.7417%, at $14713.182. The S&P 500 rose 25.5098 points, or 0.6049%, at $4242.55. Among the 11 major S&P 500 sectors, 8 showed positive movement, with Health Care leading the way with a 0.75% increase.

The focus has now shifted to corporate earnings, with tech behemoths Microsoft and Alphabet scheduled to release their results later today.

These earnings reports are expected to hold significant sway due to the substantial influence these companies have on major stock indices. Additionally, General Electric, General Motors, and Verizon have also disclosed their earnings for the day.
