Dear Readers,

The Dow Jones Industrial Average declined for a second consecutive day on Tuesday, signaling a slowdown in the recent Wall Street surge.

GitLab saw a 13% increase after surpassing financial expectations for the quarter and providing robust guidance for the current quarter. Meanwhile, Nio, the Chinese electric vehicle manufacturer, rose over 4% following a report of reduced losses in the third quarter.

Stocks rebounded slightly from their lowest points on Tuesday, driven by a decline in Treasury yields that particularly boosted the tech sector. This shift was prompted by a decrease in job openings, indicating a cooling trend in the labor market.

The Russell 2000 dropped on Tuesday, retracting some gains made after a 1% climb on Monday. Despite this, the small-cap index has surged nearly 7% in the past month, fueling optimism for a wider market rally and speculation about potential interest rate cuts from the Federal Reserve.

As of 11:40 AM ET, the Dow was down -106.9023 points, or -0.2953%, at $36097.54. The Nasdaq Composite added 26.0654 points, or 0.1646%, at $15865.734.
